2-Channel Intrinsically Safe Barrier

This is an intrinsically safe (IS) barrier, a DIN-rail mounted safety device that limits voltage and current passed to field instruments installed in hazardous (explosive) areas, preventing sparks or heat that could ignite flammable gases or dust.

It's Ex ia/IIC certified for use in Class I, II, and III hazardous locations, commonly installed between safe-area control equipment and field sensors/transmitters on ships and process plants — protecting instrumentation in areas like tank farms, engine rooms, and cargo holds where explosive atmospheres may be present.
